Thank you for visiting SQOOL.NET.
We would like to inform you that we will be sponsoring the 6th Serious Game Jam (sponsored by Japan Digital Game Society Game Education Research Subcommittee) to be held on December 16th and 17th, 2017 as a game information media.
The 6th Serious Game Jam was held over two days on December 16th and 17th, 2017 with the title “Let’s save the world by the power of games! English Please!” The event will be held at J Creation Co., Ltd. in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
A serious game is a game whose main purpose is to educate or solve social problems, rather than just for entertainment purposes. At Serious Game Jam, the aim is to create serious games based on a theme during the two days of the event. Let’s say.
The first Serious Game Jam was held in February 2014, with themes such as English education and cyber security being held.
The next Serious Game Jam, which will be held for the 6th time, will be held for the 6th time.
- Increased need for opportunities for parents and children to learn English at home with the introduction of English learning in elementary schools due to the revised curriculum guidelines in 2020
- Nuclear families are becoming more common, and parent-child communication time is decreasing as both parents work.
This event will be held with the aim of creating an opportunity to think about two issues facing our country. Participants will create a serious game with the theme of “Communicate in English, English Please!”.
The purpose of Serious Game Jam is to obtain knowledge from experts about “issues in society,” and Aiko Takazawa, a doctoral student at the University of Illinois in the United States, will be giving a lecture as an expert at the 6th Serious Game Jam.
The organizer is
“Through Serious Game Jam, we hope that game developers, students, and international students will come together to demonstrate the breadth of the social contribution power of games, and that this event will serve as an opportunity to improve future society through the power of games.” ‘I’m here’
I am.
