The game we will be introducing this time is the puzzle game “Wadatsumi no Kodama” created by Image Labo.
“Wadatsumi no Kodama” is a puzzle game in which players create musical instruments that return the same sounds they hear.
The setting is the edge of an abandoned island. Players create “instruments” using bottles and tree branches that have washed up on the beach, and use them to return “echoes” to sounds heard from across the ocean.

From across the ocean, you can periodically hear the “sound” of someone making a sound.
Various floating objects such as whistles and bottles have washed up on the island. From among them, I look for things that can produce the sounds I hear and pick them up.
After picking up something to play, move to the loudspeaker-like thing in the lighthouse. If the sound matches the sound heard from across the ocean, the day is cleared.

If you guess the correct sound, the next day you will hear a different sound from across the ocean. Then, use the same method to find the sound you think is correct on the island.
From the second day onwards, you will have the option to combine multiple items. Even things that cannot produce sound on their own may be able to produce “sound” when combined with something else.

The appeal of “Wadatsumi no Kodama” is that it seems to be particular about the “sound,” which is the core of the game. Not only can you hear the sounds from across the ocean, but you can also feel the comfort of the detailed sounds such as the sound of waves and footsteps.
In addition, the hand-drawn and gentle animation matches the game, allowing you to experience the atmosphere of being gently surrounded by the wind and plants.
Why not have fun creating various “sounds”?
