The Tokyo Game Show, held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba City since September 26th, welcomed 45,149 visitors on its second business day. This marked the second consecutive day with over 40,000 attendees, resulting in a record-high total for the two business days.
Tokyo Game Show is Japan’s largest game exhibition held every September, and this year marks the 34th time since its inception in 1996.
Since the coronavirus pandemic, the number of large-scale gaming events held in real life has been reduced worldwide, but the Tokyo Game Show has been steadily attracting exhibitors and visitors.
The number of visitors over the two business days this year was 87,180, a new record, significantly exceeding last year’s record of 69,815.
