The SUMMER GAME SHOW is an event organized by the same organization as the Taipei Game Show and is a game exhibition that can be called a mini-Taipei Game Show. The Taipei Game Show is held from the end of January to the beginning of February, coinciding with the Chinese New Year, but the SUMMER GAME SHOW is held in mid-summer in July.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become possible to participate from overseas for the first time in four years. It can’t be helped, but it’s a good event, so I’d like to introduce it to everyone in Japan.

The space between the booths was wider than before, perhaps because of the corona pandemic. This is not just the SUMMER GAME SHOW, but game events and exhibitions all over the world.
However, the number of visitors is about the same as before, and it seems that the ability to attract customers to events in Taiwan has completely returned to before the corona disaster.
SUMMER GAME SHOW looks very compact compared to Taipei Game Show, which is a global game exhibition. The concept is completely different, and if companies from all over the world participate in the Taipei Game Show, the important concept of the SUMMER GAME SHOW is to have local people, especially children, enjoy playing. one.
As far as the venue is concerned, it seems to be a success.
The major ones are SONY’s PS5, PUBG, Nintendo Switch, Street Fighter 6 battle booths, etc.
Two booths from Japan also participated in the indie corner, attracting many Taiwanese game fans.
Of course, there were many local Taiwanese indie games on display, as well as many edgy games unique to Taiwan. I would like to tell you about this situation in detail.
And speaking of game exhibitions in Taiwan, the analog game booth. At the SUMMER GAME SHOW, about a quarter of the venue was devoted to analog games, and exhibitors and visitors were able to enjoy analog games.
In a word, “atmosphere is good”. The attitude of both the organizer and the participants to enjoy the game is transmitted.
